Module 1: How Brand-Building Can Give SMEs The Competitive Edge

Ranti, who was born in 1977 in Buea, Cameroon has always had a passion for creative arts. In primary school, he got into trouble drawing caricatures of his teachers and posting the drawings on the school notice boards. An avid illustrator and painter, Ranti has a BA in Fine Arts from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in Nigeria. He’s also amassed over a decade of experience in art direction, design, creative strategy, concept development and production. His career started with MC&A Saatchi but it could have all gone wrong as he also got an offer on the same day to go work for a new generation bank. We are positive that the bank dodged a bullet. He’s worked in top agencies across the country – Insight Publicis, FKG2, SO&U Saatchi & Saatchi and developed pan-African and local campaigns, winning quite a few awards along the way. As creative director of TBWA\Concept, Nigeria he’s worked on award-winning campaigns for Indomie Noodles, Guinness, StanbicIBTC Bank and MTN to mention a few. When he is not working he’s most likely serving as a juror in a creative award festival, bungee jumping of some 100ft platform in Soweto or fishing in Ikoyi, Lagos. He’s married to a beautiful Nigerian Princess and together they have 3 boys.
